Today the Washington Post published my op ed which makes two main arguments against sanctions. First, the dialogue process has considerable national and regional support, is already hanging by a thread, and would be undermined by any kind of sanctions. Second, sanctions would allow the Maduro government to make a conflict between it and its opposition into a conflict between Venezuela and the United States. Read the whole thing here.
