As Venezuela’s crisis has deepened, the international community is searching for a new approach that can maximize the possibility of a peaceful return to democracy. There is a growing consensus that the only possible solution will involve some form of negotiations that can lead to free and fair elections, as well as the release of all political prisoners and justice for victims of human rights violations.

The Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) is pleased to invite you to a hybrid event to discuss the prospects for a peaceful, just, and democratic solution to the crisis, featuring leading voices in Venezuelan civil society.
